#031: Taking the First Step with Paul Brodie

Paul Brodie is the author of 18 best-selling books and is an expert on getting published. Through his company, he’s helped launch 49 books for other authors, getting them to bestseller status as well. He’s all about figuring out how to leverage a book and move onto the next level. Creating a foundation around your story helps you build a successful business and elevates you as an authority figure in your niche. Paul started out by writing his own book about his health journey and it changed his life in so many ways. He created a marketing system that got his book to bestseller and inspired him to keep going.

After attending a virtual summit about publishing, Paul bought the premium pass so he could have access to all the content afterward. He learned enough to start building a system on his own and after his own process of testing, implementing, and adjusting, he came up with something that worked. He’s studied over 300 categories of books over the last 5 years and the data is constantly changing. Things adjust and evolve over time and being flexible with your process is the key to hacking algorithms and hitting best-seller status.

Working with people who have a proven system and know what their core values are can really elevate you to the next level in the publishing space. You only have one chance to make a first impression, so you might as well do it right. You are your brand, and your brand is you – communicating your brand clearly is essential and it’s the key to building a successful empire. Being genuine and keeping it real while still being an authority in your niche is magnetizing.
